A report by the Center for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad (India) deals with the burning issue of right to drinking water, a matter of concern that has assumed greater significance in India in the recent years. Declarations by the UN and some other international organizations and judicial proclamation by the Supreme Court of India from time to time that the right to water is the part of right to life as per Article 21 of the Constitution of India have, among others, had a say in the growing awareness on this issue. This report carries many arguments and analysis and makes some final conclusions.
