Water is the most precious gift of the all mighty. No life in the earth can exist without this strange chemistry of hydrogen and oxygen which separately are combustible and help in combustion, respectively. Yet when they are together they become an extinguisher.
None of the activities essential for the life to exist on this lovely planet is possible without water. There has been abundance of water in the very past and this abundance made the human being negligent towards water.
Rapidly growing urbanisation, industrialisation, depletion of forests are causing many eye opening problems such as contamination of water sources, global warming which is further leading to rise in sea level because of melting of polar ice caps.
These all reminds us of S.T. Coleridge’s famous lines from the 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner', "Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink."
